I came to sailing later in life — in my forties — and immediately ran into a wall. Not the sailing itself, but everything around it. Which impeller? What torque spec? Is this normal? I assumed there'd be a clear place to find answers. There wasn't. They were scattered across forums, buried in manuals, or locked behind a $150/hr service call.

SecondMate is the resource I always wished I had. Not a forum where you wait two days for a reply. Not a YouTube video that covers a different engine model. An actual knowledgeable answer, specific to your boat, right now.

What we built

An AI trained specifically on marine systems — engines, electrical, rigging, safety. You tell it your boat, your problem, and it gives you a clear next step. No fluff, no generic advice, no hallucinated part numbers.

What we're not

We're not a replacement for a qualified marine mechanic when you need one. Guy will tell you when that line is crossed — specifically, not generically. We'd rather say "get a professional" than give you bad advice on something that could leave you stranded offshore.
